Our surgical team of doctors and veterinary technicians share many years of experience in general and elective surgery and anesthesia. We understand your concerns when your pet requires a surgical procedure. Our surgical team takes every precaution to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet before, during and after their procedure. Our surgical suite is fully equipped with advanced anesthesia delivery systems and monitoring equipment to maximize a safe experience for your pet.
All surgical patients have a pre-surgical physical exam and pre-anesthetic blood testing before their procedure. They receive in-hospital pain relief medication.
A post-surgical discharge appointment is made for owners of all surgical patients. Upon your leaving we will review the written discharge instructions, which will include any additional home care instructions, things for you to watch for, and directions for any prescribed home medications. We make a sincere attempt to call all clients the day after their pet’s procedure to answer any additional questions that may arise.
Occasionally our patients require surgical procedures that are best handled by specialists. When required, board certified referral surgeons visit for onsite advanced orthopedic and soft tissue procedures, meaning patients and clients need not travel for most surgical procedures.
